Using affirmations are such a positive and powerful way to begin and end your day. Whether you're writing them down, speaking them in front of a mirror, or listening to them, you're in the process of creation.
Most days we go about our normal routines and expect things to play out as they usually do. When we do this, we give into the idea that life is ordinary and mundane, which is why most people live for their weekends and vacations.
What if we chose to view every new day as a clean slate and a fresh start? What if instead of assuming that you're going to feel and experience the day as you imagine it, you open yourself to the possibility of viewing the world with awakened eyes?
The way you're experiencing and living your life is a result of YOUR CHOICES. If you're bored, unsettled, tired, or unsatisfied, realizing that you're the one choosing to see your life in that way is the beginning of changing it. Even if you don't like your job, where you live, the clothes in your closet, or the partner you've been with for years, you can choose today, right now, to view yourself and your world through a different lens.
Your experience of life is a result of your own conditioning. Recondition, unlearn, and retrain your mind to see things in the way that you WANT to. Just because things have always been a certain way doesn't mean that they can't become something else. The ways in which life changes and we ourselves change is all in our perception.
Choose today to challenge your own beliefs and view your world as though every single thing that you come across is a gift, a teacher, a lesson, helping you to grow. You can live a life that you're excited about if you begin looking at things with more optimism and gratitude.
One of my favorite authors, Michael Beckwith, says, "The enlightened give thanks for what most people take for granted…. As you begin to be grateful for what most people take for granted, the vibration of gratitude makes you more receptive to good in your life."
Another one of my favorite authors, Wayne Dyer, says, "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."
It's all up to you to choose how you'll see yourself and your life. How will you choose to see it?
